Our exciting and vibrant room is a wonderful place for children to play, learn and achieve. We can take 24 children per session. Our staff are warm and friendly and have many many years experience. We use Tapestry to communicate with Parents, sharing pictures, observations and learning progress. We promote healthy eating and children have the option for a hot school dinner provided by Thurston Primary School. Our outside area is fun and adventurous, with a mud kitchen, sandpit, water table and plenty of ride-ons!

After School Club
We provide wrap around care for children attending Thurston Primary School. Our members of staff walk the children to and from school from the Cavendish Hall. Our Before and After School Club is situated at the Cavendish Hall (on the same field as the preschool). It is a large space for the older children to use. Children are provided with a snack. We have age appropriate toys such as IPADS, Art and Crafts, Outside Play, a WII, Multi-sports and much much more.
We have many different activities available to engage every child and can be child specific for every different session, all following the current EYFS framework.
We actively encourage parents to 'drop in' to see their children play and have regular open coffee mornings where parents, grandparents and carers are invited to come and have a play with the children and maybe speak to the staff about their child, or just enjoy watching them play and learn.
We have an enclosed outdoor area equipped with outdoor ride-ons, sand pit, water play, playhouse, digging area etc where the children can use our equipment in a safe and controlled way whilst interacting with the people and world around them.
We strive to deliver the best childcare and education by ensuring that all our staff have in-depth knowledge and understanding gained through continuing professional development and higher-level qualification training. We continually seek advice and support to develop knowledge, skills and practice from the County Council, Ofsted and other educational sources.
We provide healthy and delicious snacks for the children, and are aware of any allergies and dietary requirements. We have teamed up with the local farm in the Village 'Field of Dreams' and get a weekly supply of local produce delivered to us!
